EBUS School Dates for 2012:
- 20th to 24th February

Location: Skills Development Centre, Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital
This course will involve practice with both high fidelity EBUS models (Accutouch-standard and EBUS modules), and a range of actual needling and biopsy models including the newest bronchoscopy navigation models. A full EBUS bronchoscopic and processor set-up will be available. Practical sessions will be supported by a teaching program focused on anatomy and tips for good procedures.
Also available will be two virtual bronchoscopic CT navigation systems, both as an anatomy teaching aide and a practice assistant. Ample scope is made for equipment familiarisation. Attendees will also receive coaching on basic bronchoscopy technique. A post course assessment will be provided using the newest EBUS practical assessment tools.
To compliment hands-on practice attendees will observe four bronchoscopy lists during the week where EBUS-TBNA and EBUS Guide Sheath are regularly performed, both as conscious sedation and GA procedures. (At these lists only observation is possible). Other procedures on these lists include Narrow Band Imaging and Autofluorescence.
