Global Standards – What Olympus Expects of Third Parties
These Global Standards have been designed to provide guidance to our third parties on the fundamental values, principles, and standards of behaviour which Olympus expects whenever a third party is engaged by or on behalf of the Olympus Group. We consider our third parties to be our partners in business and we expect the same high standard of integrity from them that we expect from our employees and managers.
Third Party: A third party is any external company, organization or individual, not owned, controlled, or employed by an Olympus Group company that Olympus has hired or intends to contract to provide goods or services or engage in business activities with or on behalf of an Olympus Group company.
With the introduction of the Integrity Line, Olympus Australia and New Zealand has created an infrastructure that enables employees and business partners to confidentially report infringements of Olympus’ ethical principles. In this way, Olympus Australia and New Zealand is committed to conducting its affairs fairly, in a proper and ethical manner, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including anti-bribery and corruption legislation.
The Integrity Line is a confidential, 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year service, which is operated by an independent company. The Integrity Line is available to all employees, as well as to all Olympus business partners, who need to request assistance or report a potential ethics violation. You may call in total confidence, knowing that the call will not be traced. Anyone using the Integrity Line may remain anonymous, except where specifically prohibited by local law. Your name or any facts which may identify you individually will only be communicated to Olympus or anybody else with your explicit consent. All matters reported through the Integrity Line will be given full consideration and thoroughly investigated.
